Getting To Know Hummingbird Redux

When you download HBNoInstall zip file, extract the file and you can simply drag the exe file to your desktop or anywhere else you like.

A quick tour of Hummingbird Redux. Consider this a basic primer.

Hummingbird Redux Settings Window

Step 1.) Licensing

The first screen you will see when starting Hummingbird Redux is Licensing.

Note: Keep your Hummingbird License available because it is required with New Updates. If you do not have your license email our Support Team

Step 2.) General Tab

If you only have 1 Twitter account, the first checkbox allows Hummingbird to sign in to your Twitter Account Automatically when the program starts.

The second checkbox controls your notifications that you receive while Hummingbird is working on your twitter accounts.  You can either enable the notifications or disable them to pay more attention to your twitter account.

The third checkbox prevents Hummingbird from Automatically Deleting Twitter Direct Messages from your your VIP Twitter Accounts or Protected Twitter Users

The Last checkbox allows you to control the delay between deleting the direct messages. I set it to zero to allow Hummingbird to delete them faster.

Step 3.) Unfollowing Tab

Next click on Unfollowing Rules to set Hummingbird up to automatically unfollow Twitter Accounts that are not following us back.

We recommend to not unfollow over 200 per day.
The default is 200 and we suggest you unfollow 200 at a time per day. Make sure that the check mark is checked to only unfollow people NOT FOLLOWING you

Note: If you uncheck this option, Hummingbird will unfollow everyone.

Days to wait before unfollowing can be set to any number.
Recommend no less than 3 days to wait to prevent excessive churn
and to allow people to follow you back. It is a better practice to simply follow for a few days then unfollow instead of follow and unfollow the same day.

Step 4.) Following Tab

We recommend you do not follow more than 300 people a day on Twitter per account.

The Bottom Settings allow you to put a delay between follows just in case Twitter is having challenges with errors. Sometimes the delays can improve results.

Step 4.) Protected Users Tab

The last setting is your Protected Users. These are your Twitter Friends that even if they are not following you, you do not want Hummingbird to unfollow them, or delete their direct messages.

Step 5.) The Main App

Now simply click on the red X in the upper right hand corner to save the settings

Look at the screen above and you will see the toolbar with Home - address bar - - Refresh - Sign In- Settings - Hide

The settings are what we just covered so if you want to change them click on the gear symbol next to the eye and you can change them easily.

The bottom toolbar is Follow All - Unfollow - Find People - Cleanup DM's
